The genesis of a dream
This museum is the fruit of a passion. Jean-Marie Pénard, a retired hotelier, has devoted over ten years to this project, sharing his love of electric trains. His son, Théo, the “assistant model-maker”, plays an active role in this family adventure. Visitors appreciate these personal exchanges.
Entrance fees are reinvested to buy new locomotives and develop the route. This authentic approach creates a unique connection with visitors. An experience not to be missed from our campsite near Aigues-Mortes.

Miniature courses and spectacular views
The museum features a collection of 1:24 scale model trains. It houses around 120 rare locomotive models. The “BIG-BOY” locomotive, nicknamed the “Rolls Royce of locomotives”, is one of the highlights.2. It comes to life with lights, smoke and realistic sounds. A 40-metre wooden viaduct, built from thousands of parts, winds around the second floor. The miniature landscapes are designed with plants specially selected to blend in with the décor.
The experience is interactive: children can control the vehicles by adjusting their speed. This practice brings the visit to life. The viewing platform is low to make it easier for younger visitors to see. Visitors feel “really in Colorado!
